Ani Advisory

Financial advisory

Turning your numbers into a decision

Budgeting, forecasting and valuations built on the same books your accounting and tax work already keeps current — which is exactly what makes them reliable.

01 · Three advisory services

Budgeting and forecasting

A budget for the year ahead and a forecast based on your year-to-date actual performance, so decisions are made on where the business is actually heading, not a guess.

What you supply
Latest annual financial statements, current-year management accounts, full access to your up-to-date Xero account, trial balances/general ledgers, your sales pipeline, existing and recurring revenue, expected price increases, new products or services, existing and new supplier and financier/lease agreements, repairs and maintenance, travel costs, and payroll reports.
Turnaround time
Depends on the nature, size and complexity of your business. Quality improves with an embedded understanding of your operations and financial standing — which is strongest when accounting and tax services are also in place with us.
Also useful to have on hand
Provisional and annual tax information (including assessed losses), dividend declarations, and capital expenditure reports.

What are the benefits of budgeting and forecasting?

It improves planning by helping set realistic revenue, profit and cash flow targets. It helps identify cash leakages and unnecessary costs, so spending stays aligned with profitability and cash surpluses. Variance analysis compares actual to budget so you can spot underperformance and act on it, and cash-flow forecasts let you assess operational, financing and investing commitments against expected cash inflows over the months ahead.

02 · Three advisory services

Business valuations

An assessment of the financial feasibility of a project or a business, to arrive at a value for purchasing or selling.

What you supply
The same information as budgeting and forecasting — latest financial statements, current management accounts, Xero access, trial balances, sales pipeline, revenue, pricing, supplier and financier agreements, operating costs and payroll — plus tax information (provisional and annual returns, assessed losses) and capital expenditure reports.
Turnaround time
Depends on the nature, size and complexity of your business, the completeness of the information provided, and is strongest when accounting and tax services are also in place with us.
Also useful to have on hand
Time to discuss and record the assumptions behind the projections, so they hold up to scrutiny.

What are the benefits of a valuation?

It makes due diligence possible by testing how reasonable past and projected performance actually are. It identifies your financial position and commitments to reasonably project cash inflows and outflows and assess financial feasibility. And it lets a proposed sale or purchase price be measured against the net present value of the business to see whether there's real value in agreeing to that price.

03 · Three advisory services

Project and capital purchase valuations

An assessment of the financial feasibility of a project or capital asset, to arrive at a value for purchasing.

What you supply
Supplier quotations for purchase, installation and maintenance costs; engineering reports supporting capacity, lifespan and output; product pricing; market research; industry and competitor analysis; insurance policies; existing and pipeline customers; distribution agreements; and financing commitments or enquiries, including guarantors.
Turnaround time
Depends on the nature, size and complexity of the project or asset, and on the completeness of information provided and an understanding of your operations and financial standing.
Also useful to have on hand
Time to discuss and record the assumptions behind the projections, so they hold up to scrutiny.

What are the benefits of this kind of valuation?

It shows whether the cost price of the asset is financially feasible, identifies the expected annual cash flows from it, determines its net asset value in today's terms relative to the cost price, and works out the payback period — when you can expect a cash surplus to start.

Best suited to body corporates, service businesses (cleaning, security, garden services, artisans, small engineering consultancies) and hospitality operators such as coffee shops and cafes, with turnover up to R100 million. Fully remote, anywhere in South Africa. Every advisory engagement is quoted individually, based on the nature, size and complexity of the work — and results are strongest for businesses already on our accounting and tax services.
